Blocks Build Brains
In this digital age, it is simpler toys that may make children smarter.
Blocks are one of the few toys that actually have shown to help young children learn. Research suggests that playing with blocks will create strategies to boost language development through imaginative play along with better impulse control and longer attention spans. According to research released by the Seattle Children’s Hospital Research Institute, children who played with blocks scored on average 15 percent higher on language tests - an early indicator of cognitive development - than their peers who didn’t get a chance to stack and pile.
