April/May 2011, Able to Teach
The next ABLE TO TEACH class at Pacific Learning Solutions is from April 28th through May 31st, 2011; otherwise available online anytime. Call 800.877.4586 for registration. "Able to Teach", a Homeschool Parent Qualifying class, will cover methods and laws governing home-based instruction, age and grade level instruction, multiple math approaches, learning styles applications, teaching reading at home, locating resources, multi-age instruction, keeping a balance in homeschooling, managing home and education and academic excellence. The course, sponsored by Cascade Bible College, fulfills the legal requirement for independently educating students at home. Dates again for the next ABLE To TEACH class are April 28th through May 31st, 2011 and also September 29th through October 20th, 2011.

August 2011: Children’s Math Enrichment Classes for
Children’s MATH classes available during August on three Thursdays.
Exciting math activities for children 6 years old through 11 years old. Two classes are available three Thursdays according to age level.
- Class A includes children 6 to 8 years old —9:30-10:30 AM
- Class B includes children 9 to 11 years old —11:00-12:00 AM
The goal is to give enhancement and hands on activities to stimulate further interest in mathematical concepts.
August 28th: Teacher Appreciation Day

September: Fall classes begin
PLS Fall classes begin for the Academy Northwest 2010-2011 school year. PLS tutoring and therapy continue through the year.
September 18th: Community Days in Arlington
Store sales, Bite of Arlington and various family activities going on in downtown Arlington. Local author of children's books, Maureen Richarson, will be book signing at the SchoolBox.
